Fall may still feel like summer in Houston, but pumpkin patches are already popping up across the area. From large farms with rides and food to smaller churchyard setups, these spots offer a chance to pick out pumpkins and enjoy seasonal traditions. Here’s a look at where to find them.
Houston Pumpkin Festival

Back for its second year at Discovery Green, the Houston Pumpkin Festival features family-friendly attractions like the huge corn pit, the Jumpkin’ Pumpkin bounce, pumpkin houses, a pink tree of life and LED-lit kayaks on the lake. Online reservations are highly recommended.

Dewberry Farm in Brookshire brings back its annual Fall Festival with pumpkins, barnyard animals, an eight-acre corn maze and more than 40 attractions. Families can also enjoy carnival games, a life-size Pumpkin House and seasonal food, with BOOriffic Nights adding haunted trails and glowing lantern displays after dark.
