OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Here’s a list of activities and events coming up in the Omaha metro this weekend.
Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska is hosting the FutureHER Career Exploration Event on Saturday to celebrate National Women’s History Month. It’s happening from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Girl Scout DreamLab in Omaha. The free, public event will feature women from across the community representing a range of industries. It is designed to help young women discover career opportunities they may not yet know exist. No registration is required.
The Visiting Nurse Association will hold its 29th annual Art & Soup fundraiser Sunday at the Omaha Design Center. The event will raise money for nurses who serve more than 1,600 youth and adults staying in local homeless shelters, group maternity homes and domestic violence shelters. You can buy work from local artists and place bids on auction items. Doors open at 2 p.m. and the event closes at 4 p.m. Tickets begin at $50.
You can catch the first Broadway National Tour of “& Juliet”this weekend at the Orpheum Theater. The show asks what would have happened if Juliet had not died with Romeo, instead choosing to move on and claim power over her own destiny. It includes over three decades of music with modern pop hits from Katy Perry, Britney Spears, and more artists. There is one show Friday night, and two shows on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets start at $43.
