Evergreen Park soccer fans will see a new leader on the sidelines as veteran coach Diego Rivas takes over the Evergreen Park Community High School varsity boys program. With a decade of Chicago high school coaching experience and a strong playing background, he plans to focus on player development, fun, and helping Mustangs athletes reach the college level, while also assisting the girls team this spring.

Evergreen Park residents can experience history up close when storyteller Jenny Riddle portrays Mary Todd Lincoln, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Jacqueline Kennedy at the Evergreen Park Public Library. The March 10 evening program uses dramatic book reviewing to share the first ladies’ personal stories, and attendees are asked to register in advance so the library can plan for the crowd.
