How a Falmouth-linked curler is chasing Paralympic gold in Italy
Falmouth’s Cape Cod Curling Club will once again be represented on the world stage as Sandwich and Forestdale resident Sean O’Neill competes in wheelchair curling at the 2026 Winter Paralympics in Italy. O’Neill follows in the footsteps of fellow Falmouth curler Meghan Lino and other Cape athletes, describing the surreal village life, training on historic ice, and hopes of bringing home gold for Cape Cod.
How Falmouth neighbors got hot meals after Cape Cod’s massive outage
After February’s crippling power outages, relief teams helped deliver thousands of hot meals from Falmouth to Brewster, keeping local warming centers and shelters supplied. Family Table Collaborative and World Central Kitchen partnered with nearby kitchens and tribal members to overcome supply challenges and reach vulnerable residents. Their work ensured that Falmouth neighbors had reliable food support during days without electricity.
