However, many travelers opt for the more budget-friendly ferry option. Mersing offers more daily departures, and tickets can be purchased online or at the Mersing Harbour Centre. A conservation fee is also required, which can be paid at the Marine Park Center located in the same building.
The best time to visit Tioman Island is during the dry season, from April to October. June through August is considered high season, with optimal conditions for snorkeling and diving. During this time, the water visibility is excellent, but prices for accommodations and activities tend to be higher. For surfers, the monsoon season from November to March offers strong swells at Juara Beach, along with lower hotel prices.
