Las Vegas is making a bold move to attract more visitors with a five-day super sale that offers significant discounts on hotels, dining, and other attractions. This initiative aims to reverse the recent decline in tourist numbers, which has been a growing concern for the city’s tourism industry.
Known as the “Entertainment Capital of the World,” Las Vegas is famous for its vibrant nightlife, world-class casinos, and luxurious resorts. The city has also served as a popular filming location for numerous Hollywood movies, including Ocean’s Eleven and The Hangover. However, recent data shows that the city is not drawing the same crowds it once did, prompting local businesses and officials to take action.
The new city-wide sale, called “The Fabulous 5-Day Sale,” begins on September 22 and runs through September 26. During this time, travelers can enjoy a wide range of exclusive deals, from discounted hotel stays to free parking and spa treatments. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the sale is designed to make visiting Las Vegas more affordable and appealing to both locals and tourists.

One of the most notable aspects of the sale is the 50% discount on many hotel accommodations, along with waived resort fees and complimentary parking. Some hotels are even offering $99 spa treatments, making it an attractive option for those looking to relax and unwind. Travelers can find all the deals on the official website, www.VisitLasVegas.com/Deals.
In addition to the city-wide sale, Caesars Properties is introducing special promotions for Las Vegas residents. These include free parking and 25% off meals and beverages at any Caesars location. Hotel accommodations will also be discounted by 15% for residents through March 2026, providing long-term benefits for local visitors.
Steve Hill, CEO and president of the LVCVA, emphasized the importance of this initiative in a press release. He stated, “Las Vegas has always been about delivering unforgettable experiences at every price point and with ‘The Fabulous 5-Day Sale,’ we’re doubling down on that promise and inviting travelers to plan their next escape at an unbeatable value.”
Several major hotels are participating in the sale, offering generous discounts and added perks. For example, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas & The Palazzo is slashing prices by up to 33% on suites, while also providing a $50 cocktail credit, over $300 in dining deals, and up to $100 spa credit. Treasure Island Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is advertising deluxe rooms starting at $99 plus tax (Sunday-Thursday) with a $30 daily credit and waived resort fee.

Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on the ‘old’ strip is enticing guests with stays that eliminate the resort fee, saving guests over $50 per night. Many other hotels are joining the discount frenzy, with the latest deals available on the city’s official website.
According to Investopedia, tourist numbers to Las Vegas dropped by approximately 7.3% during the first half of this year compared to the same period last year. June saw an even steeper decline of 11%. Industry experts suggest that rising costs for accommodations, meals, and beverages are contributing to the tourism slump.
Other factors include a decrease in flights from Canada and other countries to the U.S., partly due to trade disputes between the Trump administration and foreign governments. The rise of sports betting apps and online gaming, which allow people to gamble without traveling to Las Vegas, could also be a factor.
A report by Travel Pulse highlighted additional declines in convention attendance, room inventory, average daily rate, RevPAR, and room nights occupied. These trends underscore the need for Las Vegas to adapt and offer more value to attract visitors in the current market.
