It’s the highly confidential forest-based organization that many think secretly determines the future of the world during its two-week annual gathering.
However, this week the veil was significantly lifted at Bohemian Grove as a lengthy list of names was abruptly revealed — uncovering its affluent and influential members.
The list, which featured individuals like Conan O’Brien, billionaire Michael Bloomberg, and former Google executive Eric Schmidt, surprised the public, who tend to value privacy.
Now the California Post is able to verify the accuracy of the list, which included 2,000 individuals and the groups they were part of when they gathered in Monte Rio, two hours north of San Francisco, in 2023.
A source also provided additional information about events occurring within the redwoods, a mystery that has remained closely protected for almost 150 years.
The source informed the Post: “It is a correct list, but it’s simply a list of individuals in the camps they are part of. This is a list of camp members and is quite comprehensive as of 2023.”

They stated that members of the Bohemian Club are permitted to participate in the annual gathering each year and are subsequently invited by friends or colleagues to choose which of the 127 camps they wish to join.
Their sizes vary from just a few members up to hundreds, and they have names like Abbey, Better ‘Ole, and Camels.
The insider stated, “You need to be part of the club to be part of the group. Your friends will then invite you to join their group if they wish.”
Numerous people in America and around the globe perceive the Bohemian Club as a shadowy, Illuminati-like group that serves as the hidden force behind all major global occurrences.
An impressive array of influential figures from history are believed to have been part of it, including Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and Henry Kissinger.
The source mentioned that he somewhat comprehends why it is perceived in that manner, but quickly emphasized that no business transactions took place there.
They stated: “I think that’s reasonable, but I would add this… you are not allowed to discuss business. No one approaches others for business at the club. You would be asked to leave.”

The club’s slogan is “Weaving Spiders Come Not Here,” taken from Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” indicating that your affairs should remain outside.

However, the source did acknowledge that the club enjoys having politicians, heads of state, and military officials, where they can discuss current events in a private environment.
They added: “I believe members are intrigued that the public is so fixated on it, as the organization focuses on arts, drama, theatre, and music. Therefore, it’s amusing to the members that people are so interested.”
Events taking place among the trees during the two weeks in July have led to many reports of strange ceremonies and even a shocking claim of human sacrifice.
Journalists from previous decades have attempted to sneak in, and have returned with sometimes incredible tales that ended up being published.
The most striking instance came from conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who gained entry in 2000 and claimed to have witnessed an effigy being burned along with satanic ceremonies.
However, the cameraman who was with him, Mike Hanson, claimed it was more like an “overgrown fraternity party” featuring “pseudo-pagan” activities, and not a genuine dark conspiracy.
The source informed the Post: “There is a degree of absurdity in the conspiratorial allegations made by Alex Jones and others regarding what occurs at the club.”
The truth is, it’s not much different from being in any other club. There’s alcohol, there’s music, and there’s a sense of community.
A man was expelled from the club after jumping and swimming in the lake near the owl shrine. He received a one-year suspension.
I’m aware of someone who was suspended for having electronic devices; cellphones and computers are not permitted. They were suspended for bringing a phone in. There’s no nudity, and if there was, they would be asked to leave immediately.
The organization, with its main office located in San Francisco, has gained a negative reputation for excluding women, a practice that was typical of historical private members’ clubs in the United States and United Kingdom but is now gradually being eliminated.
The informant stated, “There are no current plans to permit women in. I can’t explain the reason. I believe it would be a positive change, but it has always been this way.”
An independent journalist named Daniel Boguslaw obtained the list by persistently pursuing a member based in the Bay Area for several weeks and released the names on Wednesday.
Notable individuals on the list also featured Jimmy Buffett, Paul Pelosi, husband of Nancy Pelosi, and billionaire political donor Charles Koch.
A representative from the club stated to the Post: “The Bohemian Club does not reveal the identities of its members or visitors.”
