Upcoming Room Renovations at Animal Kingdom Lodge
Walt Disney World Resort has been steadily working on updating its resort hotels over the past few years, with a particular focus on improving the guest experience at various properties. The last round of room refurbishments was announced in May 2025, with over 1,000 rooms at Port Orleans – French Quarter undergoing updates. This project featured vibrant fabrics and patterns inspired by the lively spirit of New Orleans. Each room includes portraits of characters from “The Princess and the Frog,” such as Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Louis, and Charlotte La Bouff.
Additionally, a new mosaic-style pattern was introduced above the bed, incorporating hidden details like Tiana’s tiara and musical elements such as drums and trumpets. The bathrooms were also updated with more storage space and a larger counter area, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Disney’s previous renovation efforts at Port Orleans – French Quarter were highly praised, and many are eager to see how the updates at Animal Kingdom Lodge will compare.
