• Emergency Crews Respond to Natural Gas Leak in Beverly
Emergency crews are responding to a reported natural gas leak at 191 Essex St. in Beverly after residents noticed a strong gas odor in the street around 12:32 p.m. Friday. Firefighters are taking gas readings and have called in the utility company while officials work to secure the area and protect public safety.
• Division III Men’s Basketball: Montagnino helps Endicott oust Neumann
Endicott College’s men’s basketball team delivered a big NCAA Tournament win right here in Beverly, with Marcus Montagnino posting a triple-double in a 96-82 victory over Neumann. The Gulls, now 27-1, shot nearly 58% from the field and will face SUNY Cortland next after never trailing in Friday night’s game.
